Hello Everyone!

This is the start of my blog on Hillary and the 2008 Presidential election.  As an ardent supporter, I want to be certain that as much accurate information as possible is shared with as many people as possible. As you can imagine, there is a lot of negative and positive news and information on TV, the Internet, etc. regarding Hillary.  I want to do my best to sort it out and set the record straight.

This election is historic in many ways. It's the first time in recent history that we don't have a sitting VP running for President (Thank God!!). This is the first time that a woman and African-American man are seriously running for the office in the democratic party. This is the first time that the internet will play such a major and key role in the election process. And, this is the first time that the election, along with debates, has started so early.

The last two elections were won on sound-bites. Karl Rove's strategy of "keep it simple" and don't explain, just say things like "we have to fight them over there, so we don't fight them over here"; or, "tax and spend liberals", or "I'm for tax cuts". These simple words without any explanation behind them are what "won" Bush's elections (well - not really - since he didn't win the first time). But the 2nd time, it was that plus the very significantly named "swift-boating" of John Kerry. Again, another Rove strategy of taking a candidates best quality and turning it into an "evil". John Kerry received purple hearts for his efforts in Vietnam, George Bush never even showed up for his National Air Guard service - yet, Rove's strategy was to turn Kerry into an anti-war, "commie" type of protester. When reality is the President was a coward, liar and drunk at the time.

This is important because whoever the democratic candidate is (Hillary, Barak, John Edwards) - this strategy will continue. Just because Karl Rove left the white house doesn't mean he won't be helping the new Republican nominee with their campaign.

So - this blog is to put forth any news, information, mis-information or mis-representation about Hillary and what is being stated. We have a WHOLE YEAR of this to look forward to!!

The fact that Hillary has fifteen years of being attacked by the right-wing machine bodes well for her because anything of significance has already surfaced. This, of course, does not mean they won't try to paint her as a "socialist-communist". Those of us supporting Hillary, simply need to be ready to defend and attack back. It is unfortunate that this has to be done, but it is what cost Kerry the election.  He simply did not defend himself quickly and effectively against the attacks.

Hillary is ready to take them on. Now it's our turn to be ready as well.
